Attended Ricciotti’s 10th anniversary media party some time ago, and am excited to share that they have unveiled a whole new concept, design and menu! Ricciotti was established in 2004 and is definitely an authentic Italian restaurant that you need to visit.
I have blogged about Riccioti before (read!) and was already a fan of their food. Who knew they came up with even more awesome stuff. Read on to find out more…
We started with some delightful appetizers which includes the Carpaccio Di Polpo, Panzerotti, Asparagi Alla Griglia, Polenta Herb Fries and Nizzarda Salad. Don’t the colors look stunning?
The fresh tuna loin caught my eye first (I headed straight for it) and as expected, it was absolutely delicious. But what surprised me was that grilled-to-perfection asparagus paired with parma ham. Definitely one of my favorite of the lot too. The polenta fries were a lil on the dry side but the mushroom truffle sauce that comes with it makes up for it.
Next up, the pasta dishes! one of the must-trys in Ricciotti! From left to right, we have the Linguine Al Granchio (Crab meat, chili, tomato cream), Risotto Al Frutti Di Mare (Arborio rice with seafood) and the Gnocchi Al Gorgonzola (Spinach gnocchi with gorgonzola cheese).
My favorite ever since I tried Ricciotti has been the crab meat pasta (Linguine Al Granchio) and I’m glad this dish stays on in the new menu! It’s super creamy and comes with a generous portion of crab meat. A must-try for crab lovers.
The risotto was really flavorful without being mushy. Way better than the one at Concetto.. I’m not a fan of cheesy pastas so the gnocchi didn’t do it for me.
For mains, we tried a variety but I’m just gonna talk about my favorites.
The cod fillet, flavored with thyme, sundried tomatoes and sauteed spinach was simply melt-in-the-mouth. Delightful and easy on the stomach, especially good for ladies.
The 9″ Al Tartufo Pizza (Black truffles, quail eggs and mushrooms) was definitely one of the best pizzas I’ve ever tried. The smell of the truffles were really rich and the combination of the ingredients really worked well together. I could eat this all by myself..
We always save a little space for dessert no matter how full we are. NOBODY says no to desserts :)
In love with the Soffiatto (Italian style chocolate molten cake with gelato)!
It’s rich, moist and not too sweet and goes purrrrrr-fecto with the smooth creamy gelato.
One other point worth mentioning is that Ricciotti gives back to charity. How very nice of them :) Diners are informed in their receipt that Ricciotti will be donating a part of the bill to some charity organisations, but they can also choose the charity project they’d prefer via an online portal.
Overall, it was a hearty meal and I really enjoyed myself. Thanks to Ricciotti for hosting us!
Do check them out on Facebook here: https://www.facebook.com/ricciotti.pizza.pasta.grill.singapore & also go try some of the new awesome items in their menu! I know I’m definitely going back soon when I have a pizza/pasta crave.
