Pottery-making Saturday @ Thow Kwang Pottery Jungle

Thanks to TY for booking a class at Thow Kwang over the weekend… I finally tried my hand at pottery for the first time! So so excited to share.

Okay, so we got there a little late cause I had laser before the class. They already started the demo but the lady kindly demo-ed for the both of us again.

We’re basically making 2 things today – a photo frame and a cup/bowl. Items like tools, moulds, paint and clay were provided.

The photo frame was pretty straightforward – it was almost like playing with plasticine, just that clay is not as easy to manipulate and mould. After I was done with mine, I couldn’t stand how untidy his coloring was so I went ahead to help him out LOL

Walked around the place afterwards for a little bit. They sell a wide range of ceramic and pottery products, and there’re also information about the Dragon Kiln you can read about.

All done after two hours! Our works will be ready for collection in a few weeks, can’t wait :)

Anyway, we’re checking out the Kranji Countryside Farmers’ Market this weekend (28 & 29 June) and Thow Kwang will be there as a vendor too!
