Had Monster Curry some time back!
Chicken Katsu Curry, $13
Chicken was tender and fried till perfection. I love that the curry is really different from the usual Japanese curry which is sold in Japanese restaurants. I picked 1 Flame (normal hot) which is the least spiciest of the 5 grades of spiciness. It was still pretty hot for me after a while, but having a bottle of iced water will do the trick!
Cheese Pork Katsu Curry with additional topping (Tori Karaage)
$14 + $4.50 (add-on)
The pork was crunchy on the outside but a little drier compared to the chicken. The Karaage chicken was added on for an additional $4.50 which was not really worth it. Tasted like the normal Karaage chicken we can buy from the supermarket.
The boyfriend chose the 3 Flame (Very Hot) and it was too spicy for me. I immediately needed to drink water after tasting it! The cheese made the whole dish very delicious and was surprisingly matching with the curry :D The whole thing just felt rather sinful to me afterwards..
Happy boy with his gigantic bowl of curry rice. I must say that the portion is really substantial and I didn’t finish my meal. There are set meals for 2, so for girls who can’t eat a lot, I would suggest sharing a platter with someone else.
Trying to be serious and pretty but failed terribly. *urghs*
So if you’re looking for curry rice next time, can try out monster curry lah, cause they ain’t too bad.
And we had a mille feuille after dinner :D It’s one of the stores near monster curry and they only sell this cake! Lurrrrved it.
