Affordable French dining at Saveur

Would like to share this little restaurant by the name of Saveur (pronounced Sah-vere) we found in Purvis street. It’s a french restaurant which offers quality french cuisine at lower prices as compared to traditional french dining.

The deco is pretty much like simplistic modern so don’t expect chandeliers and candles like in a traditional french restaurant.

Good for:

  • Casual family dinners
  • Catching up with friends
  • Casual date with your other half
  • First date on a tight budget

Foie Gras with apple sauce $9.90

Confit of Duck with orange segments and saute shittake $9.90
(I highly recommend this dish if you visit for the first time!)

Beef Bourguignon with Root vegetables and mixed greens $13.90

Other ‘must-trys’:

  • Duck Rilette with butter bread slices $7.90
  • Angel Hair pasta with Sherry Minced pork and sakura ebi $3.90

This place is very crowded on Fri and Sat nights, so go early and place your name on a waiting list. They will ask you to come back in an hour or so. You can go to Bugis to take a walk first.

We spent about $25 each with 2 mains and some sides. Bon Appetit!
