While rummaging through my drawers to find a pair of socks for bed, I stumbled upon a mysterious chest.
I gave it a gentle shake and heard something from within.
An ancient-looking chest… Could it possibly be….the heart of Davy Jones? Ohmygawd that’s going to be the coolest thing ever! Maybe I am going to be the next captain of the Dutchman!
And then I remembered that I had a key somewhere in my secret stash (a nice name I give to a pile of useless items which has no meaning nor value which I have no idea why I keep). I ran for it and found it in just about 52.7 seconds.
Everyone, it’s time to uncover whatever is in the mysterious chest.
The key I found from my secret stash

The chest creaked open softly and I approached it carefully… not sure how i will react if I see a beating heart in it (Reality is always much scarier than movies, you know)

Something is shining so bright… it pierces my eyes when I try to take a closer look. It also smells like… the ocean. Strange…

Rose: The last thing I need is another picture of me looking like a porcelain doll.
Instead of finding Davy Jones’s heart, I found the ‘Heart of the Ocean‘ (Le Cœur de la Mer)!
I don’t know how it ended up in the mysterious chest in my sock drawer when the old lady obviously dropped it into the ocean in the end. (Did she not?)
Or maybe she didn’t. Maybe Jack didn’t die. Maybe she lived with him happily ever after. Maybe she was my grandmother and this is our family heirloom. Or maybe Britney Spears’s boyfriend went down to get it for me. ALL KINDS OF POSSIBILITIES PEOPLE.
I guess I am not fated to be the next Captain of the Dutchman after all.
The End.
Okay, in all seriousness guys, what might have actually happened could be: I-placed-my-necklace-into-the-chest-and-forgot-about-it-till-now-and-i-let-my-imagination-run-wild-at-times. Whatever goes, you get to choose the version you want to believe in.
Disclaimer: This is not the real ‘Heart of the Ocean’. Please do not attempt to rob me, thank you!

Love this post!! I like to think it is the “Heart of the Ocean” and that Jack is still alive!
I like your thinking! Thank you!!
Oh NOO.. This is Titanic conspiracy! Lol
Is the conspiracy about the govt sinking the titanic instead of it hitting the ice berg? Read about it somewhere…
hahaha..good post

hey dear, thanks for reblogging! Glad you liked it! Hi5 we’re both Titanic fans!
no problem
aha Hi5, love Titanic!!
Wow – you had me running with you for the key!
You are writing for children of ALL ages… but do not call yourself a Porcelin doll – the beauty of such a human being has MANY dimensions!
Hi Johndwm, are you refering to this line here?
Rose: The last thing I need is another picture of me looking like a porcelain doll.
That was a phrase from the movie Titanic which Rose said, not me. I thought I made it quite clear by putting Rose’s name in front of the phrase.
I have to agree with you that beauty comes in all dimensions, not just limited to being porcelain dolls. I’m Asian so I don’t fall into the porcelain doll category too.
It doesent really matter.. I was simply saying that the photograph you put after the statement was of a person and that person was not doll-like. I dont know if it was you or the film as I never went to or wanted to see the film. Blessings! John
